The Abralet Cup has been an intense tournament from the moment it started this past Friday. The Finals started off with eight teams; KerchNET, UNiTED, SK, tp.uSports, EG, mTw, AGAiN, and MYM. Only two are coming out to compete for first place.
Upper Bracket:
The Upper bracket started off with:
KerchNET vs UNiTED
SK vs tp.uSports
EG vs mTw
AGAiN vs MYM
Round 1:
Within the first round; UNiTED took down KerchNET 16-8, knocking KerchNET into the Lower bracket. Shortly after SK-Gaming follows through with a 16-8 victory over tp.uSports. EG then moves forward and takes down mTw with a 16-7 victory. Lastly, Polish, WCG 2009 champs take down MYM 16-4.
Round 2:
Round two consisted with UNiTED taking a loss to SK-Gaming, 16-13. Followed by EG taking down AGAiN, 16-12. With such an interesting turnout, this is a clear example that some organizations from North America are clearly ready to compete on a constant basis with today's European Counter-Strike teams.
Round 3:
Round three was an interesting match. With the loser being thrown into third place, the winner would go on to play the Lower bracket winner for first and second place. SK-Gaming and EG tie the game up at 15-15. However, SK-Gaming pushes just a little harder bringing the match to 19-16. EG will now face the Lower bracket champ to decide to goes to the Finals and who gets third place.
